A week ago, I removed bank name from my RC book called "Hypothecation Termination".
This is my first blog, so please ignore grammar or spelling mistakes if any. Will surely improve the same in my upcoming blogs.
We often think of giving RTO work to Agents. But I insist you can do "hypothecation termination" by yourself.
I contacted multiple agents and asked the fees for activity. The average quote was approx. Rs 1000. So I thought why not check online if there any way to do that.
I was surprised when I checked online, the total cost for all work is only Rs. 250. That's why want to share information such as documents required, how to apply, track application status etc.
The hypothecation removal procedure is almost same for RTO at different locations. I did mine at PCMC RTO.

Thanks for the detailed process. Small addition - submit the original RC in plastic envelope so that it can be stapled to the application form. Otherwise they will mot accept the application.

Thanks for your blog. Your blog has saved my time as well money. Highly appreciated. I had updated my address as well removed Hypothecation from my vehicle without any agent. To reprint the E receipt follow below step are required.
ReplyDelete1. Open https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/
2. Go to Online sevices->vehicle related service
3. Select your RTO, in my case it was RTO pimpli chinchwad
4 go to status tab->Reprint Receipt/Forum->Reprint
5. Provide application number and fill all the required field.
6.click on show details
7. All the receipt will be shown in the tabular format.
